Callings through the Veil

I have long been fascinated by stories of the Cailleach; an ancient goddess who resides within the rugged wilderness of the Scottish landscape, partly concealed beneath a veil of christianity. Despite attempts to banish her from our memories the Cailleach has not departed. No, the giantess merely slumbers and dreams, and whispers to us from beyond the veil. And those who hear her call, a deep soul beckoning, will find themselves drawn to the mountains, the windswept uplands, and the ancient forests and woodlands. Here freed from the shackles of consumerism and capitalism we can reconnect to our truth. We can immerse ourselves in nature and the essence that connects all life. Here we can breathe and be.
